Skai (short for Sidekick AI) is the built-in AI assistant inside Saner.ai. It works directly with your notes, tasks, and daily context to help you retrieve information, organize work, think through ideas, and take action.

Unlike generic chatbots, Skai is tightly connected to your personal workspace and uses your notes and tasks as its source of truth. It is designed to support both knowledge management and day-to-day task management.


What Skai Can Do

Skai supports four core areas: information retrieval, knowledge synthesis, task management, and workspace maintenance.


1. Information Retrieval (Contextual Search)

Skai can instantly retrieve information from:

  • Notes (daily, project, or topic-based)

  • Tasks and to-do lists

  • Synced or related content across your workspace

It uses semantic understanding rather than keyword matching, allowing it to interpret intent and surface the most relevant information - even when you don’t remember exact wording.


2. Knowledge Synthesis & Insight Generation

Skai understands relationships across your notes and can:

  • Connect related ideas automatically

  • Highlight patterns and cross-references

  • Synthesize multiple notes into clear summaries or insights

This helps transform scattered notes into a structured understanding without manual tagging or linking.


3. Note Creation & Organization

Skai supports:

  • Create and edit notes through chat or direct input

  • Tag and organize your notes into folders

  • Link notes and suggest tags or storage locations

It adapts to your workflow instead of forcing a fixed system.


4. Task & To-Do Management

Skai enables full task handling inside your notes:

  • Create tasks from conversations, notes, or brainstorming sessions

  • Add due dates, reminders, and recurrence to any task

  • Update, mark the task as complete. But users will need to click the β€œApply” button for the suggested changes to take effect

Tasks created through Skai are placed in the daily note by default.

This keeps planning and execution connected in one place.


5. Reasoning, Planning & Brainstorming Support

Skai goes beyond answering questions. It can:

  • Reason with your existing notes and context

  • Help plan projects, outlines, or research

  • Assist with brainstorming and idea development

  • Suggest next steps based on your goals and history


6. Information Summarization

Skai can summarize:

  • Individual notes

  • Groups of related notes

  • Mixed structured and unstructured content

You can select specific sources to ask Skai via the β€œ+” button on the chat bar

Summaries are written in clear, human-readable language to support review, decision-making, and knowledge reuse.


7. Smart Inbox suggestions

Skai actively helps keep your Saner inbox organized by:

  • Summarizing new notes

  • Creating tasks from notes when appropriate

  • Suggesting categories, tags, or locations

This reduces manual cleanup while keeping your knowledge base usable.


8. Proactive planning

Skai automatically goes through your information on Saner.AI (notes, tasks, emails,…) and suggests a daily plan every day on the homepage. This can include overdue tasks, high-priority tasks, or hidden insights from your notes.

This helps you start the day easily without overwhelm


9. Future Updates

Soon, Skai will also be able to

  • Merging or deduplicating content
